FAQ
Q. What types of industry categories do you work with?
A. Basic principles of an IT system design are common to any business. We are comfortable operating in a variety of environments that range from lawyers to research labs, from financial consulting businesses to schools.
Q. We have our own vendors for equipment purchases. Can we continue this relationship while working with Berlam Networks?
A. Certainly you can. We do have vendor contacts with whom wefve established our own relationships and can get quotes and place orders on your behalf, but we are just as happy to work with your vendors.
Q. Do you resell specific product lines?
A. No, we are product-neutral. Our goal is to find equipment and software that suit the needs of our clients and to get the best deal possible.
Q. Once you have worked on installations, can you train in-house staff to familiarize them with the equipment?
A. Yes, we often do staff trainings, both for hardware and software issues.
Q. How does your billing process work?
A. We work on an hourly-rate basis, with quarter-hour increments. There is a minimum half-hour charge for on-site work. Invoicing is done every two weeks. These charges are also in force for phone and remote support.
Q. Some of the legwork for our IT expansion has already been done, but it is starting to look as if we are in over our heads. Can you help with this?
A. We can come in at any point in the process and give you a realistic assessment of how to realign your project to achieve the desired objectives. Perhaps some of your initial choices have proven to be mistakes. We work with you to come up with creative and cost-effective solutions.
